Wolf Creek 2 - Review

Picture
After an eight year hiatus, Mick Taylor is back on the big screen for another run at some unsuspecting tourists making their way across the Australian outback.
The film is loosely based on horrific events that took place in Australia over 13 years ago and while the subject matter is dark, the villain of the piece, Mick Taylor, portrayed by native oz John Jarrat, is great to watch as he dispatches his victims with a smile on his face and some witty one-liners.
The budget has obviously increased for this long awaited follow up and you can expect to see some jar dropping and often stomach churning special effects. While films like Wolf Creek are not to be everyone's taste, the horror fans out there will surely enjoy this one. It's not exactly plot-heavy and it won't leave you wondering how the writers came up with such a deep message, but it's shot well, has some great laughs to balance the horror and left this horror fan wanting more.

Director - Glen Mclean
Starring - John Jarrat, Ryan Corr, Shannon Ashlyn
Overall 7/10
